Replacement Range Rover Classic Cubby

Re-engineered in metal for 1987-1994 Range Rover Classics.

The factory installed cubbies have not aged well for most Range Rover Classic owners. Their plastic construction continues to cause a number of issues for owners, including, but not limited to anxiety, frustration and outright anger.

The five primary problems owners encounter:

• Window switch plate mounting bar breaking (causes switches to retreat into the cubby when pushed)
• Hinge mounting area breaking
• Mounting points fail, causing the cubby to fall into the back seat floor board
• Plastic surrounding the rear seat ash tray and cigarette lighter breaks
• General crumbling of side wall plastic

Many owners attempt to epoxy, rivet and patch their broken cubbies as the cubby is the primary means of storage in these Range Rover Classics which do not have glove boxes. Some owners have opted for building storage boxes out of wood.

This cubby is constructed out of steel in a similar style to the stock unit.

New switches are recommended, the URO ones (PN: PRC5254) found online seem to work. I haven't heard a report about the bearmarch switches (PN: PRC5255) yet.
